David Osiany, HSC is the Deputy Minister (Chief Administrative Secretary), Ministry of Industrialization, Trade & Enterprise Development, republic of Kenya. He is a consummate policy analyst and communication specialist. His extensive multi sectoral experience spans the areas of public policy, strategic communications and government relations.
He served as a special Advisor in the office of the Prime Minister of Kenya (2012-2013). He also formerly worked for Oxfam GB Pan-African program as a Governance Associate as well as a news anchor for Kenya’s leading broadcasting group, Royal Media Services (HOT96 FM).
Mr. Osiany holds a BA(Comms) from University of Nairobi and MSc in Public Policy from the University of Bristol, England, courtesy of the prestigious Chevening Scholarship Program. He is also a UNEP-Bayer Young Environmental Envoy awardee (2009).
Prior to his current role, Hon. Osiany served as Group CEO of Crestwood Marketing & Communications Ltd, a communications company based in Nairobi with assignments across the African region. He also had lead consultancy roles with several multinational organizations such as PATH, UNDP, UNFPA, NAIRAS among others.
